Clayworks began with a simple belief: the places we work in shape the way we think, feel, and perform.
When we started in 2017, workspaces in Indian cities largely followed one template. They were efficient, standardised, and often disconnected from people and their everyday realities. We felt there was room to do things differently — to create workplaces that were not just functional, but considered.
Our first space, Clayworks Mini Forest in South Bengaluru, was a modest beginning. Surrounded by greenery, it was thoughtfully designed into a calm, human workspace. It wasn't built to scale overnight. It was built to test an idea: Can workspaces be sustainable, soulful, and still perform at a high level?
That question has guided every decision since.
Over the years, Clayworks has grown steadily across Bengaluru — transforming old factories, repurposing underused buildings, and designing new-age workspaces in neighbourhoods where people actually want to work. From boutique offices to large enterprise campuses, every Clayworks space is shaped by its context, its users, and its purpose.
We don't start with square footage.
We start with people.
From natural light and material choices to service design and daily operations, every detail is planned to reduce friction and support focus. Sustainability isn't an add-on for us — it's built into how we design, build, and operate. Many of our spaces reuse existing structures, use upcycled materials, and follow green building standards, not as a checkbox, but as a responsibility.
Today, Clayworks operates a growing network of workspaces across Bengaluru, supporting startups, scale-ups, enterprises, and global teams. But growth has never been the goal on its own. What matters more is how we grow.
In a world that is becoming increasingly automated, remote, and impersonal, Clayworks stands for something quieter and more enduring — workspaces that care for people, respect the environment, and enable meaningful work.

Key Milestones
Clayworks is founded with the launch of Mini Forest in JP Nagar, Bengaluru. A small, thoughtfully designed workspace that sets the foundation for a people-first, sustainable approach to work environments.
The launch of Clayworks Create marks our first large-format campus. A former industrial facility on Bannerghatta Road is reimagined into a sustainable, biophilic workspace — reinforcing our belief in adaptive reuse and contextual design.
During the pandemic, Clayworks introduces Spotch, a smart workstation designed to support dignified, focused work from home, extending our design thinking beyond conventional offices.
With the launch of Clayworks Shankaraa, built on strong upcycling principles, Clayworks deepens its focus on sustainable interiors. Clayworks Create is recognised as Most Sustainable Office Space of the Year at the Realty+ Awards.
Clayworks continues to grow across key Bengaluru neighbourhoods. Shankaraa receives national recognition for sustainability and design excellence, reinforcing our philosophy of thoughtful, responsible workspaces.
Clayworks acquires its first owned asset, Clayworks Opus, transforming an old shopping complex into a premium managed office space for global capability centres and large enterprises. The year also sees our first built-to-suit office and multiple national design awards.
Clayworks enters a new phase of growth, expanding rapidly across Whitefield, Electronic City, JP Nagar, and Central Bengaluru. We scale from approximately 5,000 seats to over 17,000 seats, launch multiple large-format properties, achieve IGBC Gold and Platinum certifications, and raise our first institutional equity funding.
With new ultra-premium and boutique workspaces across Bannerghatta Road and Kanakapura Road, Clayworks continues to evolve — staying rooted in neighbourhoods, sustainability, and people-first design as we build the next chapter of workspaces in India.
